Throughout her career, Evelyn has gravitated toward challenging roles at the intersection of technical and strategic complexity. During 13 years in oilfield services and a decade in IT, she developed a deep appreciation for how quickly business environments can change — and how organizations must be capable of thinking several steps ahead to survive and thrive.
Evelyn's valuation work is rooted in real operating experience. Having managed the financial affairs of a publicly traded company through growth, distress, and recovery, she understands how fair market value is shaped by capital structure, market conditions, liquidity position, and investor expectations. That experience directly informs how she approaches 409A valuations — grounding every analysis in financial reality, not just methodology.
In 2020, Evelyn founded Sommet Strategies to bring that depth of experience to seed-stage and early-stage companies. She works directly with venture capital investors, shareholders, and boards on business and workforce planning, financial planning, capital raising, investor relations, and corporate governance.
